Maybe it wouldn't suck any more if Rush was inducted. :D

And YES... they belong in there too.
Aren't you the guy who hit me in the eye?

As I have heard it discussed, the reason so many Rush fans think so poorly of the RHOF is because they induct people who have not made great contributions (in their eyes) to rock and do not induct those who really belong their influence upon rock.

Music is art, and art is subjective. Therein lies the problem when folks don't all agree.

That's because it certainly does suck...Not the playas, just the game.

The induction process is the best-kept secret since the formula for
Coca Cola, and the criteria for induction is dubious at best.

LET THE PEOPLE CHOOSE, but that would be construed as the
Peoples' Choice Award, so I give up....

Rush never get THAT distinction either.

Damned right I'm mad, but I digress.

How about the shitbag haters booing Bush as he left the WH and DC?

That's the far-left for ya.

No change there....

I'm just glad Obama didn't acknowledge the moonbats and
tinfoil-hat-wearing fringe (that helped him get elected) during his
speeches.

MoveOn and CodePink were nowhere to be seen on TV.

DCMP corralled them up ricky-tick. Well done, Chief Lanier! :headbang:

But alas, now Obama will have to deal with their sour grapes as
well. Obama totally dissed 'em. Payback's a bitch too.

Just ask Dubya.

Poor Obama is getting it from all sides...I just felt like he said what
everybody wanted to hear...A good job if you're unemployed... better
wages if you ARE employed...health care if you're uninsured...

Whatever you want - He delivers. Anybody else feel that way after
hearing him?

My God ....I was waiting for him to promise me ten acres and a mule!

I also feel like I'm being held down by the man becuase of that stupid,
racially-tinged benediction as well.

I failed to actually levitate, as some people seemed to do as He
appeared.

I didn't get what all the fuss was about, and I watched HOURS of it.

I didn't get my ten acres and a mule either, dammit. :x

But, I DID HELL YEAH him when he spoke of our military
with respect and dignity, and the prospect that leftist democrats
are actually GETTING IT now.

We're just like everyone else though, and we'll be watching to see if he
delivers in that arena.

Good Luck Sir, and we await your further orders. ***Salutes***

I feel ya, Cygbro. And no levitation on my end either. I'm glad it is different. Glad it feels like a fresh start. Time to get to work. Time to rock.

I think that what the "Far-Anything" do not realize, comprehend and mix in with their thoughts, words and actions is that Conservative ideals and Liberal ideals are BOTH relevant in every issue and decision made. Why? Because that is who we are as a nation, and as a species on a planet. I'm sure that nobody is in perfect balance with these two seemingly opposing life-views (except for maybe Jesus, if you want to get Biblical,) but it seems like a noble thing to aspire to.

Really getting ticked off/ bored with the band I play with. WE can jam something out that is excellent but unless it gets to crashing levels of intensity the drummer will get bored with it quickly. This leads to every song regardless of start ending the same, pretty dull and such.

The guy isn't very good, he is in dire need of lessons or something as all he can play is hard rock and punk, and not creatively in either of those zones. He cannot swing 8th, playing anything asside from 3/4 or 4/4, cannot execute something as simple as a cymbal roll etc. The downside is he is my ride to the studio as I do not drive. and he is a nice guy, just far outclassed in skills by the rest of the band.

The music is just getting stagnant when it is generally a light start to a driving finish.. Would be fine, if it wasn't every song. The one song I wrote to avoid that was good for a bit but then got put on the backburner as "he wasn't feeling it" obviously as it wasn't driving, i have done a bit of work to improve it regardless, but it was not exactly bad.

I am free to do whatever I want on the bass, however it seems to be limited to playing along in the same formula time and time again. This really needs to pick up or they can look for a more generic bass player, I feel rather wasted and repetitive. Before it was mostly the same key too, which was getting bad, this one was good, different key, completely different approach. Then all it takes is one practice with the drummer (he goes out thursdays too) to destroy it back to same song , different key.

I should just buy my own studio and do my own thing.

Pair this with my still injured thumb preventing any comprehensive guitar or thumb style bass playing, I am not a happy panda.
