Last night my nephews' band played a great show. Also performing that night Was Jon Peter Lewis (came in 8th place in the third season of American Idol). Really great night.

And they had a friend join them on Saxaphone for a few songs...

Uncle, if you try to take this guitar back, you'll pull back a bloody stump!

LOL

I think we should By-Torian crash one of these concerts!

We get to play tonight! Haven't done that in a long time! :-D
And three new (old) songs have been worked up for the event. And the blue Carvin in the sig pic will make its public debut. I'll let you know how it goes.

As to my nephews... their band took third place in a recent battle of the bands. 8)

In the finals of the battle of the bands, they really questioned (no pun intended) the judgement of the judges. Not because they didn't come in first, but because out of the five finalists there was a band that absolutely blew them away with how good they were. That band didn't place at all. The band that they thought was the least talented came in first. :?

My boys went straight to the other band and told them, "You guys should have come in first. There was no contest!"

Oh well... they still had fun playing for all the girls (an their old uncle who always shows up). :-D

Okay, we had a lot of fun tonight at Classic Rock Night. Our performance wasn't stellar, but it was adequate. And it was a hoot having The Question go on right after us. Some of them went up and played with a lot of the other acts. They're just so talented.

I didn't get any pics, but there is a YouTube of our opening song if you'd like. One we've never played before...

Here's a video if anyone wants to see it. We'd never done this before and were afraid it might bomb. But it wasn't too bad.

Hey! What a fun song to play. Matt, you nailed the vocal. And don't tell your bro, but your guitar tone sounds more pleasing than his. :-)

Awesome!

Yay! What fun!

I liked Mike in a cap, and he looked like he was having so much fun!

BBO's right, you did nail the vox!

Is this going to go into regular rotation? It was a neat way to start a set.
