So with the old school OD-1 overdrive that is what gives the Bassman it's goose. Makes sense.

Thanks again.

Brand of guitar don't mean squat to me. I like tone and resonance. Stuff like that.

It's like which car is best.......Ford, Dodge, Chevy....Who cares.

It is hard to tell on a computer if the tone is quite good on that guitar. But, from what I hear from Carvin users, the tone is wonderful. (Of course, one could say they are biased! lol)

As I grew up, the brand with all the mystique to me was Gibson. I was so enchanted with Alex's ES-355, Steve Howe's ES-175, and Les Paul's Les Pauls of course.

But once I played a Carvin, I became a convert. :-D

I guess I can dig that..........I play Pearl for a reason, other than a great price.

I didn't see any slam. :)

Carvin is by far the most affordable American-made semi-custom gear that I know of. But it isn't cheap.

I prefer to think of them as a top notch guitar that is not overcharged. Opposed to say a les paul for the price is not worth its salt. Albeit you can build some very expensive carvins (glad I didn't have to pay for my bass it was a pocket destroyer)

Heheh, well t it certainly could be used in a teaching environment. It's really a great doco, though. Lots of guitar greats sharing memories and knowledge. :-)
