Happy Tuesday!

I have a manual transmission. They work better, but good luck finding
one in urban areas with heavy traffic. Most dealers here only offer
automatic transmissions as standard equipment now.

Firstly, I don't accelerate past 2,000 rpm in any gear. That keeps the
engine just half a click over idle speed.

I shift slowly, and I always use the lowest gear possible too.

Low-and-slow.

I keep the windows up, and don't use the a/c.

I have nothing in the truck I don't need. Lighter weight is always a good
thing for any vehicle.

I do 60 mph in the right lane of the our 65 mph interstate so I don't
bother anybody but loaded down semi drivers, and they're a trip...

They'll blast their lights in my rear view to speed up going downhill, but I
pass 'em going back uphill doing 60...Hypocrites. LOL

(If I could get away with doing 55 in a 65 I would, but to me that's
impeding and not cool. Hardcores will do 50 to 55 in a 65.)

The truck drivers know how to spot HM'ers, so they play along with it.

I DO NOT tailgate the trucks. Gotta get that straight.

I coast downhill and at intersections to try to time the light. If I get
caught on a red - so what? I'm not decelerating hard or revving to
downshift. It's all good.

I keep my tires at ONE POUND ABOVE rated psi. The harder tire leaves
less road resistance, and one pound over probably will not cause a
blowout at 60 mph, but I can't attest to it. It works for me, and it hasn't
changed the wear pattern on my tires.

That's all I do. :-)
Don't start none...won't be none.
