Dag, you guys. If you are not careful you'll make an old man a happy man. :-)

The song is ready for listening. I won't make the usual disclaimers and excuses for musical shortcomings, except to say that it would be a lot better if I had a band to play the parts instead 'a just me and Randy the drum machine. It was a bucket of fun to do, though. I'll get to work on part 2 now.

Thanks t. And Soup has said more than enough to thank me. He deserved a song after what he's gone through to get to where he is now. We all have in our own ways, I think.
The last part of the song is something personal from me to all of you. Give yourself a hand for making it through. Now get off of our butts and do something wonderful. :-)

And I loved the experience of writing for someone else. Motivating! :-)

Dude!

I just got it on MP3 from Soup and I thought it was brilliant!

Got some questions for ya though:

-- What effects were you using for the guitars?

I noticed you have a good ear for Alex's open barre chorusing. That RULES.

-- Did you ever try to cover Alice In Chains?

You're very close to Layne Staley in that department! :headbang:

-- Were you trilling the guitar notes toward the end with a tremolo, or
by fret hand? It was really good if you did it manually. Nice sustain Bro!

Anyway, just wanted to tell you and Soups that it's a hit here.

Party on, Owlie!

Party on, Soup!
Don't start none...won't be none.

Thanks, Cyg!
What effects were you using for the guitars?

I used a Zoom 505, a Roland chorus, straight into the board. No amp.
Did you ever try to cover Alice In Chains?
No, but I've been told that before. He was awesome.
Were you trilling the guitar notes toward the end with a tremolo, or
by fret hand?
That was a result of feedback with chorus and sustain. I actually tried to volume it down at first, but after I failed it grew on me :)

Party on, Cyg!

Actually, I could use the hand towels. It's "clean-up in aisle 4" when I am writin' and recordin.' Better than sex......well....almost. :-)
