try my bass, aroundboughts 2x the weight of my guitar, so 13-14 lbs..? kick les pauls square in the nuts , a whole new weight class.? Trust me 2-3 hours with that thing on you get SORE.

Whoa! What body wood did you choose again under that maple cap?
My koa 6-string bass is nice and light! For a bass at least...
walnut it looks damned fine too. Looking up weight specs it should be close to 10 than 13 according to similar models, however this one still feels heavier so more inclined to lower my estimate to 11-12. still damned heavy however.

My koa 6-string bass is nice and light! For a bass at least...
walnut it looks damned fine too. Looking up weight specs it should be close to 10 than 13 according to similar models, however this one still feels heavier so more inclined to lower my estimate to 11-12. still damned heavy however.
I would think balsa would make a great 6 string body....

Joe Perry has a Tele made of balsa- called the mysterycaster- thats why I said that.
The old Bassman has a clean tone to die for. It can only overdrive a little bit, and it has to be pretty loud to do it, so it's not a great hard rock amp on its own. But with the right overdrive pedal... of yeah!
