Every show they get better. Every show they surprise the audience with something new. The didgeridoo was a delightful surprise, but to have such a COOL song written around it... we were blown away. It was cool to hear a verse of the song sung in Portuguese as well.

I hope when they're huge someday and on a world tour that I can work for them. :)

That image ended up being used as their CD cover (minus the text from BBO, of course). 8)

And here they are at their CD release show. Man that was a fun night.
Tomorrow is my band's last hurrah of the summer. :(

Last night they returned from their little summer vacation (all are BYU students and school started last week I think). My piano nephew is from Oregon and spent the end of the summer there.

Last night was their first performance after the break and it was in the most prestigious Venue they've been in so far; The Velour Gallery in Provo. This night was kind of a trial for them ("bring in enough people and maybe you can come back on a weekend"). They did fine pulling in a small crowd and they performed beautifully. There was even a new song that had been written over the break. Dunno when they found the time to rehearse it.

My sister from Oregon (the piano-guy's mom) was in town and got to see the band for the first time. I asked her afterwards if I had "talked them up too much". Her response: "No, not at all, I see what you mean. They shine when they're onstage! Your little videos don't do them justice."

Speaking of little videos, there was a particular song I want to capture them performing and post on youtube for yuo guys. They performed it well last night. Unfortunately my batteries had to be replaced about one minute into the song. :x My guitar nephew told me they'll be playing at Ozz later this month and I can get it there. Okay... the stage isn't as cool-looking but I'll get it there. :) But what I DID capture last night was the encore! Usually their encore is something improvised... they invite an audience member to the stage, ask them a few questions until they get an amusing anecdote out of them, and then make up a song about it. But last night they had a surprise planned for us, and the audience ate it up. I'll try to get it up on youtube tonight so you can see it!

Here's a shot of the stage backdrop at the venue...

Something there is about people who can make up songs on the spot like that and who always have new material...talent.

Looking forward to seeing the vid!
