I went back and re-read the article from the Rocky Mountain News. They make absolutely no mention of which town this is referring to. That's ignorant for a start. I guess to those in the Rocky Mountains, the news that this was happening somewhere is good enough.

Well... the Democratic National Convention is taking place in Denver, so I think that's the city council they're talking about. But I thought Recreate 68 was a group made of members from all over.

Anyway, the story made me laugh. 8)
Kinda like when there was going to be an international feminist convention in Tokyo back in the 90's. The Japanese police were being instructed on how to deal with naked lesbian street protestors.

Wait a minute.....I may be off my rocker, but didn't I just see a article not
long ago about Rosie O'Donnell trying to organize the same thing for the
Republican Convention?

I'm sorry...That was a all-out RIOT she called for. My bad.

Okay, I just went to their website. These are definitely Cindy Sheehan types... disenfranchised Democrats who are furious with their leadership because even though they now have control of Congress and the Seante we're still in Iraq. And they are seeking/recruiting folks nationally to go to Denver and protest.

Bit of a change of subject, but this is local news for me. Seems feet have been washing up on the Canadian island I can see across the strait, and now, we have that happening here in my county.
