Okay, so here goes:
Sixteen days after my mom died, I called the mortuary to see if her cremains were ready for me to pick up. They had said that I should have them in ten days or two weeks, so I fugured it was time to see why I hadn't gotten a call yet.
Well....the doctor still had not signed the death certificate! So, she was still lying in a cooler somewhere because they couldn't cremate her without the signature! Now, I know it is just a shell and she isn't in there, but still! Made me mad! Seems disrespectful to just let her lie there and not cremate her. Plus, I want her ashes, as a part of the closure, ya know?
The mortuary had been contacting the doctor, but couldn't get him to sign the cretificate, so they had finally contacted a different doctor. They told me I should be able to pick up her ashes early next week. I sure hope so!

He's right because though you can't control the circumstances of your life...anytime your attentions focused on what is unwanted, you will feel negative emotion. So if you focus thoughts on what you do want and open your mind to solutions, you won't feel bad anymore. You may even solve some problems.AK wrote:Not sure why, but that kind of talk angers me. We're all mad here!

Testify. Learn from your elders!
Don't start none...won't be none.
Just one of those CHOICES we have to make every day t.awip2062 wrote:I know if I focus only on the bad, things get reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal bad. Gotta find the hidden silver linings that are there or I won't get through. But, G-d shows up and those linings peek out, I just have to look.
It's like what we do in (quoting Dave Matthews here) "the space between"
what happens, and then how we react or respond.
Emotion is a powerful reflex.
If God leads you TO IT, He'll get ya THROUGH it.
Don't start none...won't be none.

And punches to that "doctor." I'd like to embed his stethoscope where the sun refuses to shine.
