That's exactly why we support Israel, but these prisoner exchanges are about lop-sided as hell.

There are two countries that you ABSOLUTELY DO NOT MESS WITH:

Turkey......and Israel.

They both fight like DOGS. Pray that Isreal keeps their cool.

Me too. And what a stupid, stupid deal. Israel should be crotch-kicked for this.

Just stupid.

The terrorists that they set free in exchange for boxes of bones have said publicly that they are coming back to kill them. Israel is like the drunken friend of a friend who starts fights in the bar and expects you to bail them out over and over. Well, if they are so bad-ass, let them take care of themselves.

I'm about as pro-Israel as they come. But unfortunately, Israel too is run by politicians.

I just heard Israeli officials saying that it is because they all feel very much like brothers that they consider the trade more than fair. OMG, are they children? Now they will lose more of their "brothers" when the same dirties come back for some more slaughter.

They also said that there is a live prisoner that they would trade 1000 enemy terrorist murderers for, if they can just have him back.

Attention; The earth is leaking terrorists and it's time the world police (we) did something about it and set them straight.

One little note... if I can find the words for the idea that is rolling around in my brain...

Israel is such a tiny country in the huge Arab world, under constant attack. They have to find and maintian this very delicate balance of knowing when to hit back, when to concede, when to give, and even when to strike first. It's very difficult for a spoiled American brat like me to truly comprehend the struggle this is for them. And yet, how often do I find myself playing "armchair quarterback" when I see them make decisions?

I sure could use more education.

Heheheheheheh....very diplomatic, sir. I substituted the word "you" for your word "me" in those last sentences and clearly decipher your point. You are right, we all could use more education on the matter, but this deal and the one pending can't sound safe or logical to anybody! Can they?

Maybe if the prisoners were let go right into a bone-chipper I could see the irony, but it's not Itchy And Scratchy.
