Did anybody ever read this book?
A movie of it has been in production for some time now. I'm excited for it. It's being made by the same folks who did Corpse Bride and Nightmare Before Christmas (not Tim Burton, but that stop-action little doll company). The score is being done by They Might Be Giants. It should be really good.

On their most recent album is a song that was written for it, but then the makers decided not to use it. I like it. It feels like the book to me.
It's a good book for kids around Dovey's and Scoot's age. My youngest loves it. Maybe your girls would too. *shrugs*
