I know what'cha mean. He took the tastefulness of Billy Gibbons's
ZZ Top technique and totally BASTARDIZED it.

Does he ever play actual NOTES? LMAO

Aye zakk is a huge harmonic wanker, he can still school me pound for pound speedwise though, I shamefully top out at about 160 straight sixteenths.. Thats alot of alternate picking too not all over the place, the a meager 120. Kyle no can shred, on a guitbox

That's ok too though. See the way I look at it, the silent notes are just as important as the noisy ones.

Rests are good!!!!

Gene $immons said on a video that a good power chord that will crack ones ribs is sometimes better than a billion notes that sounds like a bunch of angry bees.

Man, all'a you guys are cracking me up :-D

And you're so right about quality over quantity, And if your solo section is a memorable "song within itself," one that can be remembered 30 years in the future (like any solo Alex ever recorded and especially in 2112) you've got it right. IMO I haven't accomplished a solo like that, but I hain't daid yets :-)

I'd like to achieve either someday. My solos are lame.
