I hope to do it for them as well. Their myspace site really needs live pics.

It's the anglo spelling. She's not a Neuman.

"Neu" in German sounds like our English "noy".
Just a note. For whatever it is (not) worth.

It's pronounced Alfred E. Noyman?

If you pronounce the "Neu-" part the German way, I guess so.
But we don't.

Yes about the "Noy". All the Germans that are part of where I work in my office pronounce it "Noy" as well. Same with office space with Neu in it too!!
Freeze this moment a little bit longer...

My daughter did her old man proud yesterday. It was a huge day for her. In the early afternoon she sang with an honor choir in a world-class symphony hall...
Then that evening was the first concert from the band she's in; Follow The Earth.
The empty stage (you can see her 5-string bass on the far right):
There were four bands that night. Here they are rocking the crowd (ended up standing room only... my girl on the far right again wearing the hat).
Some better pictures are hoped to be received soon.

That is awesome, Elfie! You must still be flying high on happy emotions from all that! What a fun, but exhausting, day that must've been!
Oh, and you can tell your daughter that she made a good choice getting a five-string!
