I don't know if this is actually true....but if it is you'll need this phone number.

Subject: DO NOT CALL LIST

REMINDER...9 days from today, all cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales calls.

....YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS

To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888-382-1222.

It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time.
It blocks your number for five (5) years.
You must c all from the cell phone number you want to have blocked.
You cannot call from a different phone number.

after looking into it further...

From https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx

Did you get an email claiming that your cell phone is about to be assaulted by telemarketing calls because of a new cell phone number database? Those claims are not true. In fact, federal law prohibits telemarketers from using automated dialers to call cell phones. You may place your personal cell phone number on the National Do Not Call Registry, but there is generally no reason to do so. For more information, see the FTC's press release "The Truth about Cell Phones and the Do Not Call Registry".

It won't make any difference at this point in time.

I used to get calls on my cell phone from telemarketers, and some mexican dude. About 3 months ago I called a DNC place. Since then, not one call that wasn't someone I know. Other than the odd wrong number.
