Sand changes both the D and the K in dank, when Mistress said only one letter to be changed. She will wear out her cat-o-ninetails on yerass if she is disobeyed once too often.
Can I assume you meant "Sank" and move on from there?

I understood that it didn't matter if you also changed the order of the letters, as well as substituting a single letter with a new one.

Mums is pretty staunch about her insistance that changing order of letters is the same as chaning each of the letters that is rearranged, so changing order is changing more than one letter and thus a no no.
