On the flight home, I saw a guy near me playing rhythm patterns with both hands and so when we were standing there waiting to de-plane I asked him if he was a drummer.

He gave me a strange look but admitted to being one. Then he asked how I knew. I told him I've a house full of them and that I'd seen him beating out the patterns that non-drummers wouldn't play. He relaxed a bit then and we spoke about Zoro until the line started moving.

Dunna got dem chops no more. Ever hear of state dependent learning? Back in the day, I was usually rather drunk or high. That's how me learned to play. walking a straight line the now, me can hardly hold a stick! Chops be gone! Innat funny?!!!

I sound more like I be a bad roadie, dropping the rig, rather than playin it!

Hey, we are alot alike in regards to playing impaired, or not. I found out a long time ago that I play like crap when drunk and/or stoned. That is why I play ........ ......... mostly sober. :-)

That and it makes it easier to count to 4 without that pesky 5 getting in the middle somehow. :-D
