Well, I'm back
Some of you know me, some of you don't, some of you know Doofus aka Lifesonshite, those of you who know us know that we met about 3 years ago on this very message board. We were married about a year and a half later, but what you probably don't know is that he claims he will have divorce papers to me before the end of two weeks starting yesterday.
A couple few of y'all know things had been rough for us recently. The got better, a lot better, so much better that he said "we felt like us again." Later that same day Doofus desides he doesn't want to be married to me anymore. When he tells me he doesn't want to be married to me anymore, when he says he might like to someday be friends again but not married to me he geds mad at me because I assume he is saying he wants a divorce. Hmm...doth thou makest much sence, lad? So he says I pushed him over the edge and he now does want a divorce because I just jumped to conclusions when he was just telling me how he feels. If you knew his mother this would make perfekt sense, sounds like she is speaking through him right there.
Aaaanywho, I wasn't going to give up on my marrage, but he has made it quite clear that he is very unwilling to be my husband any longer. Not that he ever did much responcibility wise that a husband should have done. I felt more like a single mother with a lazy teenage son than a newlywed. I worked my butt off for him and he repays me by when I feel safe and that everything is going to be good he quits compleatly. He says he wants to be free, but when I asked him how I ever held him back he admitted I never held him back but rather only helped him move forwards. But he still wants to be free and to just do what he wants to do. Again, sounds like his mother speaking through him.
He says he is not divorcing me because it's what his mama wants. He says it's what he wants and she isn't manipulating him at all. Hard to believe from what I see, and I'm not the only one who things this either. But whatever, the reasoning he uses to explain why he is giving up doesn't really matter, the outcome is the same. She geds what she wants, me out of her life and her son to herself. He knows he will never have a happy healthy relationship with a girl unless he removes his mother from the picture as she will not allow it. But whatever. I think I am gedding the better end of the deal, I ged away from her permanently.
He has a lot of potential, a very promising young man. It's too bad things didn't turn out different.
Anyway, I suppose it is needless to say, but I am a very unhappy H...anyone got a beat stick?

H, I know you've heard it all before (and probably recently), but it's true that all things must pass and that includes the pain, frustration and unhappiness of a situation like this. You are one of the most super people on the planet and I'm sure, given some time, you'll be back at the top of happiness mountain.
Keep smiling that million dollar smile, kid.

Man... it's all so sad. I know how you feel, girl.
I see two opportunities to look on a bright side here, though.
1. You had no children. Divorce hurts like crazy, but it hurts children even worse. My kids have a lot more to deal with than I do (of course, I have to deal with THEM...). I've been known to burst into tears from time to time when I see their suffering.
2. It didn't last long. In my case we were married for 16 years. I have a friend who was married for 22 years. When the love of your life comes and announces to you that you're just not worth it after all that time, it's an indescribable blow.
I say niether of those things to minimize or trivialize your pain, of course. You're hurting and you're going to hurt for a while. I'm sorry about that. All of us wish we could take that burden off your shoulders.

anyhoo,
Kudos to you for deciding to not give up on the marriage.
It's a shame it seems it can't be salvaged, and as much as both of you
will hurt, he is the one who will be missing out.
Wishing you the best.......

no worries Pop... your daughter is a very nice young lady and no doubt she will find a great guy (her own age ) that will treat her like she deserves to be treated. hey ite!! I always thought you were an OK guy and I don't know you well enough to make a opinion of you, but I think you maybe should pull your head up North and go home with your wife. For better or worse dude... you are walking away from a great family and a beautiful wife and you may wake up someday and regret it, and it will be too late... She won't stay unattached forever. me and my wife have been together for 14 years through some nasty times, broke, kids in diapers, trying to decide if we pay the car insurance or formula for one of the kids... fighting like cats and dogs, but we stayed together and we are better for it. Think about it dude.... you can't relive the past and when she's gone...she will be gone...
Happy 2015!
