Post-Rider (Travels on the Delivery Road)

Post by Ogg »

A bit daft I know but the idea occurred to me today when I took this first pic. We've been blessed with sunshine this past week so the 'phonecam has been out and about. I took this pic for an email and noticed the resemblance to a certain book cover by some damn drummer.

So, 'Travels on the delivery road'. My new rural delivery and the places it takes me. I hope to update this if little sarcasm allows me to do so.

'Buster' from 'Glenrose'-Mawla (who will wait for a full five seconds for a biscuit before jumping into the van with me) :-) .

Keep em coming Ogg, I like the English country side.
Royal Mail does that come on the packages too?
We got white and blue mail trucks but mostly in the country side
the mail delivers use there own transportation. One more question... is the streering wheel on the left or the right for delivery?

Here's a few more delivery pics, feel free to say enough's enough. Such a glorius morning though, I simply have to share.

Brilliant sunshine at 8 30am and a nifty bit of reversing to get here, via a narrow country lane :)

Image

Here's where I took a corner far too fast and had to apply the handbrake for a rather cool slide...I've since slowed down :)

Image

The 'Canine of the Day'goes to 'Homer' from 'The Old Vicarage' :)

We drive on the correct side, the left side mate, the steering wheels on the right. Such a small island here, rural areas aside our roads are choked.

I see it was a bright sunny morning. :-D The middle picture looks like around here somewhat. It's very nice country, you got a good route. I like the dog of the day pictures too keep em coming. I asked about the steering wheel because some of ouyr delivers over here buy a car from over there for easier delivery, they don't get out of there cars matter of fact my post person won't even deliver if the mail box is blocked by another car or snow or something on that order....lazy!

Thanks again for the pictures enjoying them. :-D

Gettin' squirrely on one-lane roads, eh mate?

that ROCKS.

You'd love this place Ogg!

We have roads so curvy.....

...you can see the back of your car when you go around 'em.
Don't start none...won't be none.

*Groans* :-D

Well, back on foot delivery for a week to cover sickness so time to end this nonsense.
Another picturesque scene for 'Me' :)

...and the perils of being a delivery driver? Having to fix one's own puncture :-)

That would make a nice painting Ogg ,perhaps with a cow sticking his head out the fence too :-)
So is this your regular route and then you cover other routes when people are off? I like all those pictures even the ones of the towns that you posted before, keep em coming.
