Okay, so I need a bit of help. I'm now cooking once a week for 8 people and I'm rapidly running out of ideas for dinners that I can do quickly, so I kind of need things I can just throw in the oven or in a pot ahead of time and just not worry about until everybody's home and can eat (crockpot and oven stuff are especially helpful). Plus they seem to be a little picky (I was going to make oven stew, but they don't like beef stew!), as is my dad, so things like rice, broccoli, spinach, carrots, lima beans, and anything really hot are out of the question. Soooo, can anybody give me some ideas? I need some ideas quickly, because we want to try and plan this month ahead of time so that we don't have to run out once a week to grab ingredients. I need reasonably cheap ideas, too. I know I'm probably asking a lot but I do need help here. :?

No, too many veggies. What I may have to try is steak pie (steak and kidney pie without the kidney. I don't really go for organs), provided I can find a decent recipe for it.

Can anyone give me an equivalent of the measurements on this recipe:

http://www.ivillage.co.uk/food/tools/re ... 86,00.html

We've got a bushel of corn that my uncle bought and a spare package of chicken breasts, so I'm wondering if maybe this wouldn't be a good idea to use up some of the extra corn (plus, y'know, the Heinz stuff was delicious). And any idea how much this would make? :?

a bushel is
Shelled Corn: 56 lb ≈ 25.401 kg
Corn (in ear): 70lb

I dont know if that's what you were looking for..

Actually I need the measurements on the recipe itself. I tried looking for conversions online, but I've yet to find one that works for some reason. :?
